What Happens If We Don’t Have Anything To Prove

What Happens If We Don’t Have Anything To Prove

I had a conversation with my coach Ankush this week.

It was the final session in a series of 48. A journey that’s shaped me more than I could ever have imagined when I started.

I came into the call open. Curious. I’d been sitting with a question for the last few weeks:

What’s next for me? What makes sense now?

Logically, the answer was simple: keep going.

But it wasn’t that simple.

When I started working with Ankush, I had just a couple of clients and a clear intention … to build a six-figure coaching business.

I followed the process. Did the work. And reached that goal within two and a half years.

In year three, the focus shifted. That’s when we created my Document. (If you don’t know what that is, you can read more here.)

That changed everything.

We moved beyond business tactics and into something deeper. The real work. And I began to change from the inside out.

It’s been the most transformational journey of my life.

The energy of proving … that fuel that drove so much of what I did … has almost disappeared.
That compulsion to achieve something to prove something … to myself or to others … just isn’t there in the same way.

And what’s taken its place feels stronger. More grounded. More powerful.

I feel more peaceful.
More certain.
More loving toward myself than I’ve ever felt.

And I know I’m only just getting started.

Yes, I’ve become a better coach.
Yes, my business has grown.
But those are by-products. For me, the real win is who I’m becoming.

So, when I got on that final call with Ankush, my energy was different.

I didn’t have a goal I needed help reaching.

Sure, I have clear commitments for 2026:

  • Deepening my marriage with Jules.
  • Hitting some key health and fitness markers.
  • Going for a podium finish in another Hyrox.
  • Writing with even more reach and impact.
  • Creating massive clarity for my clients about who they really are … and what’s truly possible for them.

I say those intentions aloud every morning. My direction is clear.

But I didn’t feel like I needed help with any of it.

So, I asked Ankush the question that was sitting quietly in the background:

“What would we even work on next? I’m not trying to prove anything anymore.”

He paused.

Then he asked:

“What if you could coach anyone?”

That question hit like a lightning bolt.

It bypassed logic. It bypassed ego.
And it cracked something open.

Because in that moment … I knew I didn’t fully believe it.

I didn’t yet believe I could walk into any room … with any person, no matter their stature, power, wealth or intelligence … and know, really know, that I could coach them.

And I saw instantly:
To be that coach … would require a fundamental shift in my being.

That stirred something deep within me.

That excited me.

That was the mountain I want to climb next.

And like any great mountain, there’s no final summit. Just new views. New elevation. That’s how my Document works too … it’s not a destination, it’s a direction. A way of being. A constant revealing of what’s possible.

So, when I ask what’s next, it’s no longer about chasing numbers on a spreadsheet.

It’s about becoming the coach who creates hundreds of millions of pounds worth of value in the world … by helping SME owners and leaders go beyond what they think is possible.

In their businesses.
In their relationships.
In their lives.

That’s what lights me up.

That’s what pulls me forward.

This isn’t about motivation. It’s about alignment.

And as that alignment locks into place, I can feel a whole new world of possibility open up.

So here we go…

‘2026, I’m coming for you.’

And I’m bringing fire, love, and transformation.

Much love,

Peter
