Boringly Consistent

Boringly Consistent

If you’ve followed my writing for a while, you’ll know I’m a little obsessive when it comes to health, fitness and well-being. Let’s just say I’m enthusiastic … maybe even a wee bit addicted.

This week I had what felt like a standout meeting with my coach Jordan Stinson at EAC. He’d asked for 30 minutes to sit down and get clear on what I want to create in 2026.

His question was simple:

“What do you want to achieve this year?”

As I sat with it, the honest answer was… I’m happy with where I am.

My fitness is solid. My VO2 max and InBody scan are due soon, but even without the numbers, I know I’m in a good place. I’d love to push my VO2 max back into the 50s … ideally 54+ … and build my InBody score further into the 90s.

I didn’t need to tell Jordan any of that. He already knows.
We both know the path I’m on.

That path looks like:
• Strength training with Jordan three times a week
• Conditioning, intervals and mobility work baked in
• Two solid zone 2 sessions
• One easy accessory session (calves, hips, knees)
• One full rest day
• A relentless commitment to keep building

Stronger. Fitter. Faster. Measured by VO2 max, InBody, sleep, HRV, and how I feel showing up every day.

This isn’t about losing weight or chasing an aesthetic. I might actually put on a kilo or two this year. It’s about sustaining high performance for the long game. And for me, that game includes maybe another Hyrox … or two … and the possibility of a Hyrox single. Not because I have to. Because I want to.

And the one thing I’d love? To be consistently running 10Ks again on weekend mornings. Not chasing race pace. Just out on the roads for the joy of it. Sub-50 would be nice. But really, it’s about feeling alive.

Oh … and no injuries, please.

That’s the game plan.
And the secret to making it happen?

Boring consistency.

Same structure. Same sessions. Week in. Week out.

It’s not flashy. It’s not dramatic.
But it works.

And if you’re a business owner or leader, you’ll know this already … consistency beats intensity every single time.

There’s nothing glamorous about tracking data or logging progress or reciting your commitments when no one’s watching.

But if you want sustained growth … in your fitness, your relationships, your business … you’ve got to love the process as much as the outcome, maybe even more than the outcome.

That’s what my Document reminds me of daily:

“I am that my body is a sacred temple, carrying my divine essence through life, and together we are creating miracles.”

“I am that my health and fitness are always high priorities for me.”

“I am that maintaining a healthy diet is non-negotiable.”

Those lines aren’t hype. They’re identity.

They’re who I’m committed to being.

Every time I recite my Document … morning, afternoon, night … I anchor back to that version of me. And when I do, the next right step becomes more obvious.

Since I started being my Document in January 2023, everything’s changed … not just in my fitness, but in how I see myself … how I speak to myself … how I show up in my marriage, my work, my world.

Because when your inner dialogue shifts, your external reality follows.

That’s the real work I do with clients.
And right now, so many of those conversations are pointing in the same direction:

Creating a Document.

A living, breathing articulation of who they are at their best … and who they want to be. Not as a motivational gimmick, but as a compass for how to lead. In life and in business.

If you’re an SME owner battling to get things firing across your business and your life, I believe this is the most leveraged work you can do.

The Document won’t fix everything overnight.

But if you’re willing to show up to it … daily, consistently … it will change everything.

If 2026 is the year you want to create a shift that lasts …

Call me. I can help.

Much love,

Peter
