The Document
A few years ago, I began writing a document that has since become the most powerful force in my personal and professional growth.
It wasn’t a business plan.
It wasn’t a list of goals.
It was something far more personal and transformative.
It was The Document.
What is ‘The Document’?
It’s a living declaration. A bold articulation of who I am committed to being in the world.
Inspired by the work of Steve Hardison, The Document is deep introspective work and has helped me to face self-judgments that I hadn’t even realise I was carrying and rewrite them into powerful statements about the man I choose to be, every single day.
I have learnt my Document off by heart. I read it morning and evening.
I recite it while walking the dogs or driving to the gym. Others have recorded it for me. I now hear their voices speak it into my life.
It’s become my compass, my anchor and a never-ending invitation to grow.
Why it matters?
This isn’t about perfection. I still mess up, get scared and hold back. But my document brings me back time and again to my true essence and who I’m becoming in the world.
Each line is aspirational. Some I’ve made real progress on whilst others still stretch me. But all of them call me forward into freedom, possibility, and self-leadership.
Would you like to hear it?
If something here stirs something in you and you’re curious to find out more, I’d love to share my document with you.
This isn’t a polished presentation. It’s a window into my inner world and the work I’ve done and continue to do.

What might become possible for you?
Many of my clients and even my wife, have been inspired to write their own documents after hearing mine. Because once you’ve heard someone speak with clarity and conviction about who they are, you can’t help but wonder:
“What would my document say?”
This could be a turning point. Not because I have the answers, but because you already do and this might just be the catalyst to help you hear them.
